Representing Chester, England

WHEREAS, Jonathan Guy has demonstrated his musical talents through the mastery and study of the clarinet, piano and saxophone; and

WHEREAS, Jonathan Guy is a talented musician, receiving honors such as the Emyr James Memorial Trophy for Young Composer in the 2007 Wrexham Music Festival, he is the Principal Clarinet in the Wrexham County Youth Wind and Woodwind ensembles, the Wrexham County Youth Orchestra and the Four Counties Youth Orchestra; and

WHEREAS, Jonathan Guy is a member of the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales and the North Wales Youth Orchestra playing in venues such as St. David's Hall, Cardiff, he is also a member of Saxafaction, a saxophone quartet which has been selected to perform in the National Festival of Music for Youth in Birmingham; and

WHEREAS, we are pleased to welcome Jonathan Guy into the ongoing Sister Cities Music Scholar Exchange Program.

NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Lakewood,
