A RESOLUTION

SUPPORTING A GRANT APPLICATION TO JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE REQUESTING FUNDING FOR PHASE TWO IMPROVEMENTS AT RAY ROSS PARK

WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Council desires the improvements at Ray Ross Park for the benefit of the community; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Community Resources is applying for a grant from Jefferson County Open Space for a second grant to fund improvements at Ray Ross Park; and

WHEREAS, Jefferson County Open Space requires a resolution supporting the grant application from the governing body of the agency applying for the grant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Council of the City of Lakewood hereby support the grant application to Jefferson County Open Space for Phase Two funding for improvements at Ray Ross Park.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 For and 0 Against at a regular meeting of the City Council on November 26, 2007, at 7 o'clock p.m. at the Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
