SUBJECT: Amendment to Design and Construction Services Contract with DR Architecture, LLC.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: On March 14, 2006, the City entered into a contract with DR Architecture, LLC for 1) the relocation of the E911 facility and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and 2) Modifications to the Municipal Courts. The amount of the contract authorization per Resolution 2006-15 was Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars($230,000.00).
During design, it was determined that adequate computer support for the E911 and EOC required the relocation of the Information Technology Department Network Operations Center (NOC).
The electrical, mechanical and architectural design work to accomplish this relocation was complex and beyond the original scope of services in the March 14, 2006 contract. The additional work required necessitates adjusting the contract amount from Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00) to Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($255,000.00).
