A RESOLUTION

APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH DR ARCHITECTURE, LLC FOR THE DESIGN OF THE RELOCATION OF THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER

WHEREAS, under the authorization of Resolution 2006-15, on March 14, 2006, the City entered into a contract with DR Architecture, LLC for 1) the relocation of the E911 facility and the Emergency Operations Center and 2) Modifications to the Municipal Courts and,

WHEREAS, during design, it was determined that adequate computer support for the E911 and EOC required the relocation of the Information Technology Department Network Operations Center and,

WHEREAS, the electrical, mechanical and architectural design work to accomplish this relocation was complex and beyond the original scope of services of the March 14, 2006 contract and,

WHEREAS, the amount of the contract authorization per Resolution 2006-15 was Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00); and

WHEREAS, the additional work requires adjusting the contract amount from Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00) to Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($255,000.00)

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest a contract amendment with DR Architecture, LLC in form approved by the City Attorney providing for increasing the amount authorized from Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($230,000.00) to Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($255,000.00).

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to DR Architecture, LLC in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOOPTED by a vote of 10 For and 0 Against at a regular meeting of the City Council on May 14, 2007 at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
