A RESOLUTION
FOR ACCEPTANCE OF BID AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR THE E911/EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER/ NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER & MUNICIPAL COURTS REMODEL PROJECTS
WHEREAS, by Invitation of Bid No. 2655 the City of Lakewood advertised for bids for the E911/Emergency Operations Center/Network Operations Center & Municipal Courts Remodel Projects and bids were opened on April 25, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder has been determined to be Tower One Construction, which has submitted its bid in the amount of One Million, Six Hundred and Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,690,000.00) pursuant to City specifications and instructions and the City desires to accept the bid of said bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The bid of Tower One Construction as described in Invitation to Bid No. 2655 is hereby accepted according to specifications as delineated in the Invitation to Bid.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, a contract with the said bidder, in form approved by the City Attorney, in the total amount of One Million, Six Hundred and Ninety Thousand Dollars ($1,690,000.00). The City Manager is hereby further authorized to execute change orders to said contract, in form approved by the City Attorney, which shall not exceed, in the aggregate, an additional ten percent (10%) of the contract or One Hundred Sixty Nine Thousand Dollars ($169,000.00) for a total contract amount not to exceed One Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Nine Thousand Dollars ($1,859,000.00).
SECTION 3. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Tower
One Construction in accordance with the terms of said contract.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 For and 0 Against at a regular
meeting of the City Council May 14, 2007 at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic
Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
