A RESOLUTION
FOR THE ADOPTION OF A MASTER PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT / REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CHARLES WHITLOCK RECREATION CENTER PARK.
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has maintained the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center Park at 1555 Dover Street for the benefit of the community since 1973; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lakewood desires to improve the quality of the improvements of the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center Park; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Community Resources has solicited input on park improvements from the community around and the users of the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center Park; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for the orderly development and redevelopment of the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center Park to meet the needs and desires of the community; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lakewood on February 26, 2007 held a public hearing to review the proposed master plan for the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center Park, and recommended the adoption of the Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The master plan for the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center Park dated November 2006 is hereby adopted, and shall be used as a guide for the development of the park site.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on March 26, 2007, at 7 p.m., at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
