A RESOLUTION

FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSAL AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES RELATED TO THE REDEVELOPMENT OF RAY ROSS PARK

WHEREAS, Winston Associates, Inc. has submitted a proposal for the completion of construction documents and construction monitoring for the reconstruction of Ray Ross Park; and

WHEREAS, Winston Associates, Inc. was selected for the development of a Master Plan to redevelop Ray Ross Park using the City purchasing procedures; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires to continue to use the services of Winston Associates, Inc. to develop final construction documents and assist in the monitoring of the construction of the improvements to Ray Ross Park.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The proposal of Winston Associates, Inc. for continued design services and construction monitoring is hereby accepted.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, a contract and any necessary change orders with Winston Associates, Inc., in form approved by the City Attorney in an amount not to exceed three hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($350,000).

SECTION 3. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Winston Associates, Inc., in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on January 22, 2007, at 7 p.m., at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
