ORDINANCE: O-2007-22
SUBJECT: Granting easements to Xcel Energy for utility lines across Forsberg/Iron Spring Park to provide utility services to the Solterra Development.
ADDRESS: 14600 Block of West Alameda Parkway, south side.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council grant the requested easements.
FUNDING SOURCE: NA
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Easements need to be conveyed to Xcel Energy across Forsberg/Iron Spring Park in order to provide utility services to the Solterra Development from Xcel Energy's existing utilities located in the West Alameda Avenue right-of way located north of the Forsberg/Iron Spring Park.
The Department of Community Resources worked with Xcel Energy to analyze and locate where the utilities lines should cross the park that would serve the future residents of Lakewood and have a minimal impact on the recreational value of Forsberg/Iron Spring Park.
