ORDINANCE: O-2007-20
SUBJECT: Granting easements to The Consolidated Mutual Water Company for water lines across Forsberg/Iron Spring Park to provide water to the Solterra Development from The Consolidated Mutual Water Company water storage tank located on the William Frederick Hayden Park.
ADDRESS: 14600 Block of West Alameda Parkway, south side.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council grant the requested easements.
FUNDING SOURCE: NA
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Consolidated Mutual Water Company is the water provider for the Solterra Development. The water to this development will come from The Consolidated Mutual Water Company's water tank located on the William Fredrick Hayden Park. Therefore, easements need to be conveyed so the water lines can be constructed across the Forsberg/Iron Spring Park.
The Department of Community Resources worked with The Consolidated Mutual Water Company to analyze and locate where the water lines should cross the park that would serve the future residents of Lakewood with quality water service and have a minimal impact on the recreational value of Forsberg/Iron Spring Park.
