ORDINANCE: O-2007-19
SUBJECT: Vacation of the West 5 feet of Ammons Street
LOCATION: 1355 Ammons Street
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance.
FUNDING SOURCE: N/A
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: First Baptist Church owns property on both sides of Ammons Street. The Church is on the East and a house and land is located on the West. The vacation request would only vacate the westernmost 5 feet adjacent to the house. Ammons Street would remain open and public.
The plat of Lakewood created a 60 foot wide street right-of-way. Over time, segments of the west 5 feet have been vacated adjacent to other properties. This vacation is consistent with those vacations.
Public Works has reviewed the vacation and has no objection.
