AN ORDINANCE
TO VACATE A PORTION OF AMMONS STREET ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY AT 1355 AMMONS STREET, CITY OF LAKEWOOD, COUNTY OF JEFFERSON, STATE OF COLORADO
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Title 43, Article 2, Colorado Revised Statutes, Case No. VA-07-002, and upon a finding that the described area is no longer necessary for use by the public and that no land would by a vacation be left without an established public road connecting same with another established public road, the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto be and the same is hereby vacated.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after final publication.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to record a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder.
I hereby attest and certify that the within and foregoing ordinance was introduced and read on first reading at a regular meeting of the Lakewood City Council on the 25th day of June, 2007; published by title in the Rocky Mountain News and in full on the City of Lakewood's website, www.lakewood.org, on the 28th day of June, 2007; set for public hearing on the 9th day of July, 2007, read, finally passed and adopted by the City Council on the 9th day of July, 2007, and, signed and approved by the Mayor on the 10th day of July, 2007.

Exhibit "A"
A parcel of land being a portion of Ammons Street right-of-way lying East of and adjoining Block 87, PLAT OF LAKEWOOD, the plat of which is recorded in Plat Book 2, at Pages 14 and 15, of the records of the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder, and further lying in the Northwest One-quarter (NW¼) of the Northwest One-quarter (NW¼) of Section 2, Township 4 South, Range 69 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, City of Lakewood, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Block 87; thence S 00°11'50" W along the East line of said Block 87(assumed bearing all other bearings hereafter related thereto), said East line being in common with the West right-of-way line of said Ammons Street, a distance of 350 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of that tract of land described in Book 757, at Page 109, of said records, said Southeast corner also being in common with the Southeast corner of vacated Lot 14, said Block 87; thence S 89°54'52" E along the easterly extended South line of said vacated Lot 14, a distance of 5.00 feet, more or less, to the intersection of said easterly extended South line with the East line of the West 5.00 feet of said platted Ammons Street right-of-way; thence N 00°11'50" E, along said last East line, said last East line being parallel with the West right-of-way line of said Ammons Street, a distance of 350 feet, more or less, to the intersection of said last East line with the easterly extended North line of said Block 87; thence N 89°54'52" W, along said last easterly extended North line, a distance of 5.00 feet, more or less, to the point of Beginning. Said parcel containing an area of 1,750 square feet, more or less.
