AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 4.26.020 (A) AND (B) OF THE LAKEWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE AS IT RELATES TO COMPENSATION TO ELECTED OFFICIALS
WHEREAS, Section 2.11 of the Home Rule Charter for the City of Lakewood allows for compensation of the Mayor and members of the City Council to be determined by ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED By The City Council Of The City Of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. Subsection 4.26.020(A) of the Lakewood Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
A. Commencing with the new term of office resulting from the regular election held on November 3, 2009, the compensation for all of the City Council members shall be an annual compensation of Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Three and No/100 Dollars ($12,873.00).
SECTION 2. Subsection 4.26.020(B) of the Lakewood Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
B. Commencing with the new term of office resulting from the regular election held on November 6, 2007, the compensation for the Mayor shall be an annual compensation of Thirty Thousand Four Hundred Two and No/100 Dollars ($30,402.00).
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after final publication.
I hereby attest and certify that the within and foregoing ordinance was introduced
and read on first reading at a regular meeting of the Lakewood City Council
on the 9th day of April, 2007; published by title in the Rocky Mountain News
and in full on the City of Lakewood's website, www.lakewood.org, on the 12th
day of April, 2007; set for public hearing on the 23rd day of April, 2007; read,
finally passed and adopted by the City Council on the 23rd day of April, 2007,
and, signed and approved by the Mayor on the 24th day of April, 2007.
