ORDINANCE: O-2007-6
SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the City to convey an easement to Public Service Company for utility lines and related appurtenances to provide utility service to the Regional Parks Maintenance Building located in the Bear Creek Lake Park located at 15660 Morrison Road.
ADDRESS: 15660 Morrison Road.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this ordinance authorizing conveyance of the easement to Public Service Company.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The City of Lakewood installed a gas line to the Regional Parks Maintenance Building located in Bear Creek Lake Park. As a result of this construction, an easement needs to be conveyed to Public Service Company for this and future utilities to the Maintenance Building. Public Service Company agreed to allow the construction of the gas line prior to the City conveying an easement with the understanding that the City would convey the necessary easement after the line was installed and the location of the line was verified by survey. This easement is necessary to allow Public Service Company's gas line and any other utilities to the Maintenance Building and any future buildings in the vicinity of the Maintenance Building. Staff has reviewed the location of the gas line and determined that it is in the right location and will not interfere with the future use of the City land.
