ORDINANCE: O-2007-3
SUBJECT: Granting easements to Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District for a sanitary sewer line on Beech Park to service the proposed Overlook Estates Subdivision
ADDRESS: 1682 South Beech Street, west side.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council grant the requested easements subject to the following conditions: 1) Review and approval of final construction plans by the City of Lakewood; 2) Issuance of a Public Way Permit for all work on City property; 3) All new facilities shall be underground to the extent possible; 4) Site shall be restored to existing lines and grades, and revegetated to match existing conditions; 5) Receipt of compensation for the easements; 6) The easement shall not be recorded until the Overlook Estates Subdivision has been approved and recorded.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District is the service provider for sanitary sewer facilities in the Green Mountain area of Lakewood. They have formally requested the City grant a sewer line easement to service the new Overlook Estates Subdivision. The proposed easement will allow the District to construct a gravity flow sewer main from the new subdivision to an existing line in South Coors Court.
The District has reviewed other options to service this subdivision, and has found this alignment to be the most desirable.
