Recognizing Katie Marble
Lakewood/Chester Sister Cities Music Exchange Scholar
Representing Lakewood, Colorado
WHEREAS, Katie Marble has demonstrated her musical talents through the mastery and study of the violin; and
WHEREAS, Katie Marble is a junior in high school and has studied with James Maurer and performed with some of the most prestigious youth orchestras including the Western States Honor Orchestra, the Colorado All State Orchestra and the Denver Young Artists Orchestra; and
WHEREAS, Katie Marble was appointed concertmaster with the Jefferson All County Orchestra and the Front Range Youth Symphony; and
WHEREAS, as Lakewood's representative, Katie Marble will travel this summer to our sister city of Chester, England where she will have the opportunity to perform with community groups and make life-long memories; and
WHEREAS, we are pleased to welcome Katie Marble into the ongoing Sister Cities Music Scholar Exchange Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Lakewood,
I, Steve Burkholder, Mayor of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, by virtue of the
authority vested in me do hereby recognize the Lakewood/Chester Sister Cities
Music Exchange Scholar
Katie Marble and extend our best wishes to her throughout her musical career.
