A RESOLUTION

FOR THE ADOPTION OF A MASTER PLAN FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF RAY ROSS PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood took over the maintenance and operation of Ray Ross Park from the Foothills Park and Recreation District in 1999 as part of the City's exclusion from the District; and,

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lakewood desired to improve the quality of the improvements of Ray Ross Park; and,

WHEREAS, the Department of Community Resources has solicited park improvement desires of the community around Ray Ross Park; and,

WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for the orderly re-development of Ray Ross Park to meet the needs and desires of the park community; and,

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lakewood on September 20, 2006 held a public hearing to review the proposed Master Plan for Ray Ross Park, and recommended the adoption of the Master Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The Master Plan for Ray Ross Park dated June 2006 is hereby adopted, and shall be used as a guide for the development of park site.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on October 23, 2006, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
