SUBJECT: Authorizing the creation of by-laws for the City of Lakewood Youth Commission.

RECOMMENDATION: The Department of Community Resources recommends the authorizing of the creation of by-laws for the City of Lakewood Youth Commission.
FUNDING SOURCE: N/A
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Lakewood City Council approved the establishment of the Lakewood Youth Commission in May 2004 after a year as an advisory commission pilot program. Since that time, the commission has been operating without established guidelines. By-laws that have been written and approved by the members of the Youth Commission will be instrumental to the effectiveness of the commission's operations.
