RESOLUTION: 2006-37
SUBJECT: Entering into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) to accept a grant for bikeway improvements at Wadsworth Boulevard and Weir Gulch.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
This project includes building bypass storm water pipe and a 10-ft. wide concrete sidewalk/bikeway through the existing underpass on Wadsworth Blvd. at the east side of Belmar Park. The project will complete a 750-foot missing link of bikeway. Federal funds in the amount of $501,000 have been obtained for this project. The City made an application to Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and received a grant of $150,000.
This Resolution authorizes the City to accept the $150,000 grant from GOCO.
FUNDING SOURCE: Capital Improvement Fund ($215,000), GOCO ($150,000) and Federal Funds ($501,000).
