A RESOLUTION
APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE TOWN OF MORRISON AND JEFFERSON COUNTY FOR THE OVERLAY OF ROONEY ROAD, FROM INTERSTATE 70 TO MORRISON ROAD.
WHEREAS, Rooney Road from Interstate 70 to Morrison Road is in need of an asphalt overlay, and is within the boundaries of the City of Lakewood, the Town of Morrison and unincorporated Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, Lakewood, Morrison and Jefferson County have agreed to a split of work responsibilities to complete the overlay project; and
WHEREAS, the work specifications and prices agreed to for the work items are acceptable, to Lakewood, Morrison and Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, Town of Morrison and Jefferson County would like to proceed with the overlay of Rooney Road from Interstate 70 to Morrison Road; and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the project the City of Lakewood shall receive payment from the Town of Morrison for work performed by Lakewood on the Morrison section of Rooney Road in an amount not to exceed $22,330.00; and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the project the City of Lakewood shall make payment to Jefferson County for work performed by Jefferson County on the Lakewood section of Rooney Road, in an amount not to exceed $144,133.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk
to attest an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Lakewood, Town of
Morrison and Jefferson County for overlay of Rooney Road from Interstate 70
to Morrison Road, in form approved by the City Attorney. The final payment to
Jefferson County at the conclusion of the project shall not exceed $144,133.50.
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payment to Jefferson
County in accordance with the terms of said agreement.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on February 27, 2006, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
