ORDINANCE: O-2006-11
SUBJECT: Case RZ-06-001
Request approval to rezone a parcel of land from 2-R (Small Lot Residential District) to 1-R (Large Lot Residential District) to match with the surrounding zoning and allow for the same land uses permitted in the1-R zone district.
ADDRESS: 2100 Iris Street
APPLICANT: Robert and Vicki Holland, Property Owners
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this ordinance. Planning Commission, by a vote of 7-0 at the April 5, 2006 meeting, recommend APPROVAL of this request by City Council.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The applicants are requesting to rezone approximately 16,500 square feet of land from 2-R (Small Lot Residential District) to 1-R (Large Lot Residential District) to allow for the same land uses permitted in the 1-R zone such as the keeping of livestock. Currently, one (1) single-family home exists on the property.
