ITEM 1 CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Burkholder called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Cabinet Room of the Lakewood Civic Center South Building, 480 S. Allison Pkwy. Lakewood, CO.
ITEM 2 ROLL CALL
Those present were: Mayor Steve Burkholder, Presiding

Absent: Ray Elliott
Staff in attendance: Mike Rock, City Manager
Roger Noonan, City Attorney
Full and timely notice of this Study Session Meeting had been given and a quorum was present.
ITEM 3 - ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Votes were taken by secret ballot to preliminarily elect the Mayor Pro-Tem and City Council President for the upcoming 2006-2007 year. City Clerk Margy Greer counted the votes and announced that the Mayor Pro Tem selected was Bob Murphy and the City Council President selected was Cheryl Wise. Ms. Greer stated that a formal resolution appointing Bob Murphy and Cheryl Wise would be presented at the next regular City Council meeting.
ITEM 4 - NEIGHBOORHOOD ORGANIZATION NEWSLETTERS
Joni Inman, Director of the Mayor and City Manager's Office, reviewed the cost
of printing and mailing newsletters for various neighborhood organizations.
After much discussion, it was decided that the cost was too prohibitive and
other alternatives would be researched including corporate sponsors and contributors.
ITEM 5 - OPEN DISCUSSION
None.
ITEM 6 - ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council; Mayor Burkholder
adjourned the meeting at 6:45 p.m.
