REGULAR MEETING OF
LAKEWOOD LIQUOR AND FERMENTED MALT BEVERAGE
LICENSING AUTHORITY
August 24, 2006, 7:00 p.m.

A Regular Meeting of the Lakewood Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licensing Authority was held on this date in the City Council Chambers.

ITEM 1. CALL TO ORDER

Chairwoman Hansson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Also present: Paul Kennebeck, Deputy City Attorney

Full and timely notice of this meeting had been given and a quorum was present.

ITEM 3 - NEW APPLICATION

Hotel & Restaurant License
Wadsworth Old Chicago, Inc.
d/b/a Old Chicago
145 S. Union Blvd.

Rebecca Fischer, Registration No. 21841, stated she was the attorney representing the applicant.

Gregory Leonard, 9683 Humboldt St., Thornton, CO 80229, was sworn in and stated he is the Regional Manager for Wadsworth Old Chicago.

Kelly Pietrs, Esquire Petitioning Services, 2792 S. Race St., Denver, CO 80210, was sworn in and stated her company did the petition survey and stated the procedures used to do the petitions. Ms. Pietrs stated the results of the survey.

Mr. Leonard stated he is a certified trainer for Old Chicago and stated the training program for the employees. Mr. Leonard stated Old Chicago's polices and the disciplinary actions for employees.

There was a question and answer period between the Liquor Licensing Authority and Mr. Leonard.

Mr. Muniz moved to approve the application for a Hotel & Restaurant License for Wadsworth Old Chicago, Inc. d/b/a Old Chicago, located at 145 S. Union Blvd. The motion was seconded. Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays. THE MOTION CARRIED.

ITEM 4 - NEW APPLICATION

Paulie & Deanna's, Inc.
d/b/a Paulie & Deanna's Italian Restaurant
2099 Wadsworth Blvd.

Deanna Lopez, 2099 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80214, was sworn in and stated they are a family owned and operated business. Ms. Lopez stated the experience they have in the restaurant business.

There was a question and answer period between the Liquor Licensing Authority and Ms. Lopez.

Rachel Vigil, 2099 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80214, was sworn in.

Max Scott, 1216 Tiperary St., Boulder, CO 80306, was sworn in and stated his company did the survey petitions and explained the results of the survey.

Ms. Lopez stated that Ms. Vigil has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years and stated they are very aware of the liquor laws.

There was a question and answer period between the Liquor Licensing Authority and Ms. Lopez

Mr. O'Malley moved to approve the application for a Hotel & Restaurant License for Paulie & Deanna's, Inc. d/b/a Paulie & Deanna's Italian Restaurant, located at 2099 Wadsworth Blvd. The motion was seconded. Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays. THE MOTION CARRIED.

ITEM 5 - NEW APPLICATION

d/b/a Chipotle Mexican Grill
7355 W. Colfax Ave.

Jon Stonbraker, Registration No. 9517, stated he is the attorney for the applicant.

Rita Larson, 415 Garwood Ct., Colorado Springs, CO 82911, was sworn in and stated her company did the survey petitions for the establishment. Ms. Larson stated the procedures used to do the petitions and stated the results of the survey.

Patrick Kelly, 7229 S. Iris Ct. Littleton, CO 80120, was sworn in and stated he is the area manager for Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. Mr. Kelly stated his experience with Chipotle. Mr. Kelly stated the Chipotle concept and the hours of operation. Mr. Kelly stated the training procedures for their employees and the policies of Chipotle.

There was a question and answer period between the Liquor Licensing Authority and Mr. Kelly.

Mr. Wisneski moved to approve the application for a Hotel & Restaurant License for Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. d/b/a Chipotle Mexican Grill, located at 7355 W. Colfax Ave. The motion was seconded. Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays. THE MOTION CARRIED.

ITEM 6 - SHOW CAUSE HEARING

The show cause hearing had been continued to November 9, 2006. The Deputy City Attorney of the City of Lakewood requested the request for continuance.

ITEM 7 - SHOW CAUSE HEARING

6166 W. Alameda Ave.

The Show Cause Hearing had been continued to September 14, 2006. The request for continuation had been requested by the licensee's attorney.

There being no further business to come before the Authority, Chairwoman Hansson adjourned the meeting at 7:37 p.m.
