A Regular Meeting of the Lakewood Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licensing Authority was held on this date in the City Council Chambers.
ITEM 1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairwoman Hansson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Also present: Paul Kennebeck, Deputy City Attorney
Full and timely notice of this meeting had been given and a quorum was present.
ITEM 3 - APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Regular Meeting March 23, 2006
Mr. Wisneski made a motion to accept the meeting minutes of March 23, 2006.
The motion was seconded. Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays. THE MOTION CARRIED.
ITEM 4 - NEW APPLICATION
Hotel & Restaurant License
Phew, Inc.
d/b/a The Thirsty Bear
2595 S. Lewis Way, Unit 5C
Andrew Tyler, 825 Concho Ct., Castle Rock, CO 80104, was sworn in and stated he and Mr. Philip Mayer are the applicants for the liquor license. Mr. Tyler stated they wanted to open up a neighborhood sports bar and restaurant. Mr. Tyler stated that he has been in the restaurant business for 30 years and had a liquor license previously and stated he has never had any problems in the restaurant business. Mr. Tyler stated they plan to take the Lakewood Alcohol Awareness Training class.
There was a question and answer period between the Liquor Licensing Authority and Mr. Tyler.
Kelly Pietrs, 2792 S. Race St., Denver, CO, was sworn in and stated she is a managing member of Esquire Petitioning Services. Ms. Pietrs stated that her company did the survey for this application and explained the procedures used to circulate the petitions and the results of the petitions.
There was a question and answer period between the Liquor Licensing Authority and Ms. Pietrs.
Philip Mayer, 11079 W. Pyramid Peak, Littleton, CO, 80127, was sworn in and stated his business experience. Mr. Mayer stated that he wanted to introduce himself to the Board and answer any questions that they may have.
Mr. Wisneski moved to approve the application for a Hotel and Restaurant License for Phew, Inc. d/b/a The Thirsty Bear, located at 2595 S. Lewis Way, Unit 5C. The motion was seconded and with all members of the Authority voting aye, THE MOTION CARRIED.
ITEM 5 - GENERAL BUSINESS
There being no further business to come before the Authority, Chairwoman Hansson adjourned the meeting at 7:18 p.m.
