MINUTES

ITEM 1. CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Burkholder called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Cabinet Room of the Lakewood Civic Center South Building, 480 S. Allison Pkwy. Lakewood, CO.

Full and timely notice of this Study Session Meeting had been given and a quorum was present.

ITEM 3 - PRESENTATION - STATE OF THE COURT

Presiding Municipal Judge Thomas Elliott gave the State of the Court report. He compared 2005 to 2004 figures regarding Summons files, Juvenile Penal, Adult Penal, Animal Control, Traffic Offenses, Traffic Infractions, Traffic Total, Parking, and Revenues generated. He said the increase in revenues is due in large part to the compulsory insurance laws put into effect in 2005. Traffic summonses are down due to the lower number of patrol agents on the streets. Judge Elliott spoke about the Municipal Courts remodeling project.

A question and answer period ensued.

ITEM 4 - PRESENTATION - COMMUNITY RESOURCES MASTER PLAN

Kathy Hodgson, Director of Community Resources, introduced the Department Division Heads. Bruce Peoples, Head of Construction and Facilities Management gave a PowerPoint presentation. He explained the process the Department intends to undertake to complete the Master Plan. It will be an approximate 18-month project, and will include all aspects of the Department. The process will begin in May of 2006 and be completed in August of 2007. Mr. Peoples stated that the project will include focus groups, consultants, inventories, meetings, questionnaires, Planning Commission, open houses, mailings, and more.

A question and answer period ensued.

ITEM 5 - REPORTS - MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL

Mayor and City Council reported their attendance at previous meetings and events and announced upcoming neighborhood meetings and events.

ITEM 6 - ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Burkholder adjourned the meeting at 8:35 p.m.
