SUBJECT: Dangerous Animal Ordinances
Chapter 6.05 of the Lakewood
Municipal Code has been attached for your review. This chapter prohibits
the possession of dangerous animals and regulates the impoundment of these animals
when the owner has been cited. Additionally, the authority of the municipal
court to order restitution as well as the confinement or destruction of the
animal by lethal injection is set forth. These provisions will be discussed
at the study session.
