A RESOLUTION

SUPPORTING A GRANT APPLICATION TO JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE REQUESTING FUNDING FOR THE PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS AT LAKEWOOD PARK

WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Council desires the playground improvements at Lakewood Park for the benefit of the community; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Community Resources is applying for a grant from Jefferson County Open Space for playground improvements at Lakewood Park; and

WHEREAS, Jefferson County Open Space requires a resolution supporting the grant application from the governing body of the agency applying for the grant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Lakewood hereby supports the grant application to Jefferson County Open Space for playground improvements at Lakewood Park.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council December 12, 2005, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
