RESOLUTION: 2005-52
SUBJECT: Adopting the Uniform Election Code of 1991 as it pertains to coordinated mail ballot elections and approving intergovernmental agreements with Jefferson County pertaining to the November 1, 2005 election.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder's Office is requiring municipalities to adopt the Uniform Election Code of 1991 as it pertains to coordinated mail ballot elections. In addition, attached are two intergovernmental agreements with the County that provide for the mailing of election notices and allocation of jurisdictional duties for the election, which need to be executed.
