A RESOLUTION

APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD AND BANK OF AMERICA, TO PROVIDE MERCHANT BANKCARD SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD

WHEREAS, the City has issued Request for Proposals 2547 for merchant bankcard services for the processing of credit cards received at various City locations; and

WHEREAS, Bank of America has proposed rates that are the most advantageous to the City; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado that:

SECTION 1. The proposal of Bank of America to provide merchant bankcard services as described in the Request for Proposal 2547 is hereby accepted according to the specifications as set forth in said Request for Proposal.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to sign, and the City Clerk to attest, a merchant services agreement and such other related documents with Bank of America in form approved by the City Attorney. The City may terminate agreement with 30 days notice with or without cause.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on July 11, 2005, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
