RESOLUTION: 2005-39
SUBJECT: Bid Award for 8th & Kipling Storm Drainage Improvements Project.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
On June 2, 2005 bids for the 8th and Kipling Storm Drainage Improvements Project, Bid No. 2531, were opened and the firm of EDGE Contracting Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible and qualified bidder with a bid of $794,621.00. A $79,000.00 contingency is recommended for minor changes for a total contract amount not to exceed $873,621.00.
This project consists of installing storm sewer inlets and pipe in the vicinity of 8th Place and Kipling and transporting the stormwater to Lakewood Gulch at 10th and Kipling. This will alleviate flooding in storm events at the 8th Place and Kipling intersection.
FUNDING SOURCE: Stormwater Management Utility Funds
