RESOLUTION: 2005-31
SUBJECT: Authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD) to share the cost of easement acquisition for certain parcels required for drainage improvements on Lakewood Gulch upstream of Kipling Street.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: City Council previously authorized acquisition of property rights required for the 8th Place/Kipling Street drainage project. Two of the easements required are located in the flood plain and are eligible for partial funding by UDFCD. UDFCD will pay 50 percent of the cost to acquire these two easements.
The total estimated acquisition cost for the two easements is $35,000. Funding for Lakewood's portion is available from the Stormwater Management Utility Fund.
