RESOLUTION: 2005-15

SUBJECT: Resolution authorizing Revocable License Agreement for the construction of art work in the existing median in the center of West Alameda Avenue just West of the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard in City-owned right-of-way for West Alameda Avenue, to the Alameda Gateway Community Association.

ADDRESS: Existing Median in the center West Alameda Avenue just West of the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard.

RECOMMENDATION: Authorization of the requested Revocable License Agreement.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Alameda Gateway Community Association has requested to place artwork in the existing median located in the center of the West Alameda Avenue Street just West of the Intersection of West Alameda Avenue and South Sheridan Boulevard. This artwork will signify that you are entering into the City of Lakewood and the Alameda corridor. By entering into this License Agreement it will obligate the Alameda Gateway Community Association to not only maintain the artwork constructed in the median but the median itself. The proposal has been reviewed by City staff, and is acceptable from the aspect of presenting no hazards or creating other problems.
