RESOLUTION: 2005-10

SUBJECT: Final Design, Right-of-Way Acquisition and Construction of Drainage and Flood Control Improvements for Green Mountain Drainageway B.

RECOMMENDATION: Approval

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD) and the City of Lakewood entered into an agreement on April 30, 2003 for the preliminary design of improvements to Green Mountain Drainageway B.

The project will reduce flooding in upper Green Mountain and remove several properties from the 100 year flood plain. The project location is shown on the attached map. Preliminary design is now complete and UDFCD and the City of Lakewood would like to proceed with final design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of improvements for this project. Total estimated cost for the work including contingencies is $1,800,000. The City's share is $1,390,000. Funding for the work is available from the Stormwater Management Utility Fund.
