RESOLUTION: 2005-9
SUBJECT: Authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District for easement acquisition and construction of drainage improvements for South Lakewood Gulch at Colorado Christian University.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The project will build a detention pond that will reduce the width of the 100-year flood plain downstream from the pond. Design work is nearing completion and UDFCD and the City of Lakewood would like to proceed with an agreement to fund easement acquisition and construction of improvements for South Lakewood Gulch at Colorado Christian University.
Total cost of the work including contingencies is $1,800,000. The City share is $1,300,000. Funding for the work is available from the Stormwater Management Utility Fund.
