RESOLUTION: 2005-2
SUBJECT: Amending certain alcohol beverage fees for the City of Lakewood
RECOMMENDATION: Approval.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Resolution 98-3 established certain alcohol beverage fees for the City of Lakewood to defray the cost of processing, administration, and enforcement of this highly regulated industry. There are approximately 250 liquor-licensed establishments requiring the same city resources regardless of the type of alcohol sold. Staff believes that current occupation fees should be adjusted to $1,000 for all alcohol beverage establishments.
