ORDINANCE: O-2005-41
SUBJECT: Rezoning Case Number RZ-05-005
Rezone existing property from the 3-C (Community Commercial) zone district to the PD (Planned Development) zone district in order to construct an automobile dealership.
ADDRESS: 11595 West 6th Avenue
APPLICANT: Lakewood Fordland
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this rezoning request. Planning Commission, by a vote of 6 to 0 at the November 2, 2005 meeting, recommends APPROVAL of this request by City Council.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The applicant has submitted a request to the City to rezone the property located at 11595 West 6th Avenue from the 3-C (Community Commercial) zone district to PD (Planned Development) zone district. The applicant is requesting the rezoning in order to construct an automobile dealership.
The applicant has worked with "The Dent Clinic" owner Mr. Rick Tate to resolve site access and parking issues. The final site plan for Lakewood Fordland will include parking along the northern entrance drive, which is desirable to the adjoining property owner, Mr. Rick Tate.
