ORDINANCE: O-2005-19
SUBJECT: Ordinance vacating a portion of unimproved Gladiola Street right-of-way between West 7th Avenue and West 8th Avenue.
ADDRESS: Gladiola Street right-of-way between West 7th Avenue and West 8th Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance vacating the right-of-way.
FUNDING SOURCE: Application fee.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Gladiola Street was originally created in 1955 as part of the Pleasant Heights subdivision and subsequent deeds to Jefferson County by adjacent property owners. The road was never constructed. In 2003, portions of the adjacent properties on either side were platted as part of Stevinson Toyota West Subdivision and incorporated into the dealership. The dealership has requested that the right of way be vacated. No properties currently take access from the right-of-way proposed to be vacated.
