ORDINANCE: O-2005-3
SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the City to convey an easement for water line facilities to Bear Creek Water and Sanitation District across Hodgson Park located at 9401 West Morrison Road.
ADDRESS: 9401 West Morrison Road.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this ordinance authorizing conveyance of the easement to Bear Creek Water and Sanitation District.
FUNDING SOURCE: N/A
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The City of Lakewood has been asked by Bear Creek Water and Sanitation District to convey an easement for a water line across Hodgson Park. This easement would allow the District to connect the existing water line that is located in South Hoyt Street, which is a street that runs to the north side of the park, to an existing water line that is located in Morrison Road. The construction of this water line will complete the loop for the water line between South Hoyt Street and Morrison Road. This will better serve the adjoining neighborhoods to the park if the water line ever has to be shut down due to repairs. Community Resources staff have reviewed this request and have no concerns.
