Dear Shea:
The City of Lakewood would like to recognize you with this Letter of Commendation from the Lakewood City Council for your recent humanitarian act in helping the Thorn family. Because of your hard work, the Thorn family and your good friend, Evan, have been reminded why community support is so important in times of need.
Knowing that Evan would enjoy some new video games to help him recover from
the fire that destroyed his family's home, you "brainstormed" with
your friends and came up with a way to help. You and the "Lemonade Brigade"
ran a charitable lemonade stand for a day and raised $376.28. Your effort shows
not only good citizenship and a caring attitude but also a business spirit.
We commend you for taking actions that affirm people's belief in the goodness
of their fellow citizens and for serving as an example to others. We are thankful
that you live in the city.
