SPECIAL MEETING OF
LAKEWOOD LIQUOR AND FERMENTED MALT BEVERAGE
LICENSING AUTHORITY

November 10, 2004

A Special Meeting of the Lakewood Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage Licensing Authority was held on this date in the City Council Chambers.

ITEM 1. CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Taake called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Also present: Paul Kennebeck, Deputy City Attorney

Full and timely notice of this meeting had been given and a quorum was present.

ITEM 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Regular Meeting September 23, 2004
Regular Meeting October 14, 2004

Mr. Wisneski moved to approve the minutes of the regular meetings held on September 23, 2004, and October 14, 2004. The motion was seconded and with those present voting Aye, THE MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES CARRIED.

ITEM 4. NEW APPLICATION

Hotel & Restaurant License
MP II Colorado, L.L.C.
d/b/a The Oven
7167 W. Alaska Dr.

Mr. Kennebeck told the Authority he had reviewed the application and all the documentation appeared to be in order.

Jon Stonbraker, registration #9517, appeared before the Authority on behalf of the licensee.

Max Scott, 1216 Tipperare St., appeared before the Authority and was sworn in. He testified that he is the owner/operator of Oedipus, Inc., a professional survey company. Mr. Scott explained how the survey was conducted and the results tabulated.

Mark Tarbell, 3213 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, AZ, appeared before the Authority and was sworn in. He testified that he his one of the managing members of the applicant. Mr. Tarbell stated he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and has been in the food and beverage industry since high school. He said he opened his first restaurant in 1994 and has had no violations against his licenses. Mr. Tarbell went on to explain the restaurant's concept and hours of operation. He testified his staff is TIPS certified.

No one else came forward to speak in favor or opposition to the granting of this license and the public hearing was closed.

Mr. Kennebeck advised the Authority that the Lakewood Police Department had not concluded their investigation of this applicant and suggested the Liquor Authority approve this license contingent upon police approval.

Mr. Muniz moved to approve the Hotel & Restaurant License application for MP II Colorado, L.L.C., d/b/a The Oven located at 7167 W. Alaska Dr. The motion was seconded and with those present voting Aye, THE MOTION TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION CARRIED.

ITEM 5. GENERAL BUSINESS

There was no general business to discuss.

ITEM 6. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Authority, Chairman Taake adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
