RESOLUTION: 2004-90

SUBJECT: Certify expenditures to, and request reimbursement from, Jefferson County Open Space for development expenditures of the Simms Street Trail project.

ADDRESS: 11600 W. Hampden Avenue, Lakewood, CO

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended City Council authorize the Department of Community Resources to request reimbursement from Jefferson County Open Space, in the amount of ninety-five thousand thirty-one dollars ($95,031) for work completed during the period of March 1, 2004 through August 31, 2004.

FUNDING SOURCE: County Open Space Grant

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: In 2002, the City of Lakewood was awarded a grant from Jefferson County Open Space for the Simms Street Trail Project. This project completes the trail connection from the new Simms Exit on US285 to the existing Bear Creek Trail in Bear Creek Lake Park. The Department of Community Resources has completed the Simms Street Trail and is now requesting reimbursement.
