A RESOLUTION

AMENDING A CONTRACT WITH McLAUGHLIN WATER ENGINEERS FOR FINAL DESIGN OF THE LENA GULCH STABILIZATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood's Stormwater Utility and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District fund drainageway maintenance projects; and

WHEREAS, the City and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement for the final design of stabilization improvements to Lena Gulch upstream of 20th Avenue; and

WHEREAS, McLaughlin Water Engineers is completing final design of stabilization improvements for Lena Gulch; and

WHEREAS, additional work and costs outside the original scope of work of the final design contract have been identified.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest a contract amendment, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with McLaughlin Water Engineers for the final design of Lena Gulch stabilization improvements in an amount not to exceed Twenty-one Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-two and No/100 Dollars ($21,262) for a total contract amount not to exceed Seventy-eight Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-two and No/100 Dollars ($78,362).

SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make additional payment to McLaughlin Water Engineers in accordance with the terms of said contract.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 9 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on July 26, 2004, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood City Hall, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
