RESOLUTION: 2004-54
SUBJECT: Supporting the vote to continue the one-tenth of a cent sales tax
for the
Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: City Council understands the importance of the one-tenth of a cent sales tax which supports school outreach programs, living history demonstrations, art exhibits, Lakewood Art on the Commons, the Museum of Nature and Science, the Denver Zoo, the Denver Art Museum, Denver Center for Performing Arts, and other history, art, and cultural programs.
City Council is seeking voter support to reauthorize the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District one-tenth of a cent sales tax.
