RESOLUTION: 2004-53
SUBJECT: Creating permanent Youth Commission and appointing members thereto.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: In May of 2003, City Council approved an ad hoc Youth Commission pilot program with a one-year duration. At an April 2004 study session, the ad hoc Youth Commission presented their accomplishments to City Council and requested to become a permanent commission of the City. Due to the accomplishments of members of the ad hoc commission, there was consensus from City Council to create a permanent Youth Commission for the City of Lakewood.
