A RESOLUTION

APPROVING A LEASE OF GROUND WATER TO LAKEWOOD COUNTRY CLUB FOR SUPPLEMENTAL IRRIGATION USES.

WHEREAS, the City has the right to a majority of the deep ground water under the City of Lakewood; and

WHEREAS, Lakewood Country Club owns and operates a country club and golf course within the municipal boundaries of the City; and,

WHEREAS, Lakewood Country Club desires to lease an additional source of supplemental irrigation water; and,

WHEREAS, the City is willing to lease ground water to Lakewood Country Club for supplemental irrigation purposes;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The Lakewood Country Club meets the criteria specified in Policy Report 2003-4 as a business entity employing at least five full time employees.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into ground water lease agreement with Lakewood Country Club for supplemental irrigation water, in a form approved by the City Attorney.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on February 9, 2004 at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
