RESOLUTION: 2004-5
SUBJECT: Appoint a new Board Director to fill a vacancy and an unexpired term to the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District Board of Directors.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
At the Lakewood City Council's July 28, 2003 public hearing approval was granted for the creation of the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District (ACBID). Along with this official action the Council also provided for the organization of the District Board of Directors. Per state statute should any Board Director position become vacant the City Council appoints a qualified person within the District to fill the vacant Board seat.
Ms. Susan J. Anthony, ACBID Director has tendered her resignation to the Board of Directors. The ACBID is nominating Mr. Martin W. Mischel to fill the vacancy and complete Ms. Anthony's term to expire June 30, 2005. Mr. Martin W. Mischel is a property and business owner of Bowlero Lanes - 5480 W. Alameda Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80226, within the designated service area of the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District.

CERTIFICATE OF RESIGNATION
AND NOMINATION OF SUCCESSOR
THE UNDERSIGNED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District hereby certifies that at a duly called and constituted meeting of the Board of Directors of the said District held December 12, 2003, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to accept the resignation of Susan Anthony from the Board of Directors.
IT IS FURTHER CERTIFIED that at said meeting the Board of Directors of the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District unanimously voted to nominate Martin W. Mischel to the fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Susan J. Anthony, and to submit the nomination of Martin W. Mischel to the Lakewood City Council for approval and for the appointment of Martin W. Mischel to the Board of Directors of the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District
