REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION

ORDINANCE: O-2004-29

SUBJECT: Ordinance amending Section 5.39.020 of the Lakewood Municipal Code pertaining to optional premises liquor licenses.

ADDRESS: Not applicable

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this Ordinance.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: In order to permit the sale of alcohol at the City amphitheater it is necessary to amend the City's optional premises ordinance to provide for such authority. There are two amendments to the optional premises ordinance. The first is to correct a cite to a state statute. The second is to include in the list of locations for which optional premises licenses can be issued locations relating to amphitheaters and cultural events centers.
