SUBJECT: Rezoning Case Number RZ-04-004
Rezone existing property from the 5-C (Large Lot Commercial) zone district to the 4-R (Medium Density Residential) zone district for the purpose of developing six (6) single-family residential lots.
ADDRESS: 1599 Fenton Street
APPLICANT: Habitat for Humanity
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this rezoning request to allow for the construction of 6 single-family residential lots. Planning Commission, by a vote of 6-0 at the October 20, 2004 meeting, recommended APPROVAL of this request by City Council.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The applicant has applied to the City for a rezoning request to rezone the property located at 1599 Fenton Street from the 5-C (Large Lot Commercial) zone district to the 4-R (Medium Density Residential) zone district. The applicant is requesting the rezoning in order to construct 6 single-family residential units. The property is approximately .9 acres in size and is currently undeveloped.
