ORDINANCE: O-2004-40
SUBJECT: Ordinance declaring the City's intent to acquire interests in real property for the South Sheridan Boulevard between Mississippi Avenue and Center Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project.
ADDRESS: West side of South Sheridan Boulevard between Mississippi Avenue and Center Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of this ordinance.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The City will be constructing sidewalk improvements along the west side of South Sheridan Boulevard between Mississippi Avenue and Center Avenue to enhance pedestrian safety along South Sheridan Boulevard. This project is anticipated to start in 2005. In order to start construction of the improvements at the scheduled date, the City needs to start acquiring the property interests necessary for this project.
