SUBJECT: Planning Case Number ZP-03-151
De-annex existing property from the City of Lakewood to Unincorporated Jefferson County.
ADDRESS: 11777 West Hampden Avenue
APPLICANT: Elsie May Stjernholm and Dr. Alvin Stjernholm, Property Owners
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this de-annexation request to allow for the disconnection of approximately .57 acres of property from the City of Lakewood to Unincorporated Jefferson County.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The applicant has applied to the
City for a request to de-annex a portion of the property located at 11777 West
Hampden Avenue. The applicant currently owns three (3) parcels of land and is
requesting that all three (3) parcels be located in Unincorporated Jefferson
County. The applicant is requesting the de-annexation in order to have all the
property in Unincorporated Jefferson County. The property that is proposed to
be de-annexed is currently undeveloped and is approximately .57 acres in size.
The 2 remaining parcels are in Unincorporated Jefferson County and are currently
developed with a single-family home.
