ORDINANCE: O-2004-4
SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the City to convey Easement Agreement for water line facilities and related appurtenances to The Consolidated Mutual Water Company across the parking lot at the Westland Towne Center at 10555 West Colfax Avenue.
ADDRESS: 10555 West Colfax Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of this ordinance authorizing conveyance of the Easement Agreement.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The Consolidated Mutual Water Company has asked the City for a utility easement across the parking lot at the Westland Towne Center, which is owned by the City, to relocate a portion of the existing water line and two fire hydrants to better facilitate the new Lowe's Home Improvement store on this site. The relocation of a portion of the water line and fire hydrant will allow the Lowe's building to be placed on the site. Staff has reviewed the proposed waterline and determined that it is in the right location and will not interfere with the future use of the City land.
